Cookie Policy

1. About this policy

This policy lists the cookies, browser storage entries and similar technologies used on optywise.com, who sets them, why, and for how long. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use personal information more generally. Optywise USA LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, operates this website.

2. Categories and consent

  • Necessary storage remembers your cookie choices. It does not require consent.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4 and PostHog) runs only if you accept analytics, with the exceptions in section 4.
  • Advertising (the Meta Pixel and the OpenAI ChatGPT Ads pixel) runs only if you accept advertising.
  • The attribution cookies belong to both analytics and advertising: they are set when you accept either, and removed when both are off.

Analytics and advertising are separate choices. Nothing in either category is enabled until you choose, and consent is not assumed.

5. Services that load on specific pages

6. Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we keep analytics and advertising off by default for you. The banner still appears so that you can choose. A choice you make in the preference center overrides this default, including a choice you made earlier. We record whether the signal was present when you made a choice (the gpc field of ow_consent).

7. Changing or withdrawing your choice

The "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page opens the preference center, where you can turn analytics and advertising on or off, or choose Accept all or Reject all, at any time. Your choice is treated as expired after 180 days, or sooner if we change the consent version, and the banner then appears again.

When you turn advertising off, our scripts stop sending events to Meta and OpenAI immediately, and we delete the cookies they set on our site. The cookies on OpenAI's own domain (__cf_bm, _cfuvid) and OpenAI's __oaiq_consent cookie remain until they expire. When you turn analytics off, PostHog stops capturing and its stored data is cleared (a small opt-out marker stays until your next page view), and we delete the Google Analytics cookies from our site; events captured in the few seconds before you withdraw may still be delivered. The attribution cookies are removed when both categories are off. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time.
